It is currently illegal to go abroad from the UK without a reasonable excuse, with a £5,000 fine penalty. While overnight stays away from home are also still banned in England.
But according to the Government's lockdown roadmap, holidays abroad could be permitted from May 17 in Step Three - subject to a review.
