Speculation is mounting that India could be added to the UK's travel 'red list', with an announcement of some kind widely expected within days.

The Prime Minister cancelled his own trip to Delhi today after the region imposed a six-day lockdown from 10pm tonight. But frustration is mounting after he stopped short of adding it to the 39 countries on the UK's 'red list'.
Currently people can still arrive from India and quarantine only in their own homes. By comparison, travel to the UK from red list countries is banned except for UK residents, who must stay in a £1,750 quarantine hotel for 10 days.
