Sheffield United turned down the chance to re-sign Dean Henderson on loan from Manchester United this summer because it would have cost them over £6million.Henderson enjoyed an impressive season in goal for the Blades, keeping the fourth-highest amount of Premier League clean sheets (13) and conceding just 33 goals in 36 outings.Chris Wilder was keen to extend the 23-year-old’s stay at Bramall Lane for another season, but United wanted them to cover all of his wages from his proposed new contract while also paying a loan fee.Altogether, that would have cost the the Yorkshire club over £6million - meaning they instead opted to bring Aaron Ramsdale back from Bournemouth.The Red Devils also refused to include an option for them to buy.
