Manchester United flop Paul Pogba reportedly sent then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer multiple texts pleading his case for a new contract.Pogba arguably played his best football under the Norwegian after he replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho in December 2018.
The Frenchman was a regular starter under Solskjaer, helping United to successive top four finishes in the Premier League.He spent much of Solskjaer's first full season in charge of the Red Devils ruled out with an ankle injury.
But he returned to fitness for the final nine rounds of the Premier League, driving United to a third place finish in the top-flight.After his performances in the tail end of that campaign, The Athletic report that Pogba sent Solskjaer text messages in the summer of 2020.
In those messages, he is said to have asked the then-United boss for a new contract.Solskjaer replied to say he was 'pressing' the Red Devils board to do just that, but ultimately turned down that chance.
