Manchester United have been told they will need to stump up £51million to pry Brazilian ace Anthony away from Ajax with his entourage reportedly already in Europe to thrash out a deal.
Antony, 22, excelled under Erik ten Hag's tenure in Amsterdam registering 22 goals and 20 assists since penning a five-year deal at the Johan Cruyff Arena in February 2020.Now, the incoming United boss is keen to re-kindle their relationship at Old Trafford.
Priced at £51m by the newly-crowned Eredivisie champions, the Brazilian would command the bulk of Ten Hag's £100m summer transfer budget - but Antony already has his seal of approval.According to Goal Brasil, the player's entourage are currently in Europe with the aim of finalising his preferred switch to Man Utd.
Antony is said to be extremely keen on reuniting with his former boss and it looks increasingly likely that the 22-year-old will become the first singing of the Ten Hag era.The Dutchman is in need of attacking reinforcements after seeing Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata all walk out the door at the end of last season.
