Manchester United have not given up hope of signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland and believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be the key to making this possible.Solskjaer gave Haaland his debut as a teenager at Norwegian side Molde and enjoyed a good relationship during their time at the club.The United boss has since followed the progress being made by the prolific forward and had hoped to reunite with the 21-year-old at Old Trafford 18 months ago.Haaland was attracting widespread interest due to his performances at RB Salzburg, but selected Dortmund as his next destination.Despite the disappointment of missing out on this transfer deal, the Sun have claimed that Solskjaer has received regular updates on the talented attacker.
