Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly planning to deploy a three-at-the-back formation next season as United look to mount their first serious title tilt in a number of years.
These rumours come in the wake of the Red Devils announcing their second marquee signing of the summer after confirming a deal had been agreed in principle to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.United are thought to have parted ways with £42m in exchange for a central defender who has been a mainstay in the Los Blancos backline since the age of 21 and has won four Champions League titles alongside a World Cup in 2018 for national side France.Solskjaer's side have already spent big once this window, finally landing long-term target Jadon Sancho.
