Man flown to hospital by air ambulance after fall from scaffolding

A man who fell from scaffolding in today's Storm Arwen winds was taken to hospital by air ambulance. Details surrounding the incident are scarce.

But police have confirmed that emergency services were called to Darley Avenue in Chorlton at just before 11.20am on Saturday.

It followed reports a man had fallen from scaffolding. The air ambulance landed on the playing fields of nearby Barlow Hall Primary School and Greater Manchester Police confirmed the man was subsequently airlifted to hospital.

Police said the man's condition was unknown as yet. No age for him has been released either. It's not known exactly where the incident happened or the circumstances surrounding the fall.
