Portsmouth manager Danny Cowley has tipped Gavin Bazunu to 'come through' tough spell with the club after handing Ipswich Town the opening goal on Tuesday night.
The City loanee was caught spending too much time in possession and saw his pockets picked by the in-form Macauley Bonne who dawdled through, cut-back onto his left post, past the diving Bazanu, and smashed the ball home to break the deadlock on the stroke of half-time.
But for the 19-year-old, it went from bad to worse as Paul Cook's side fired home three unanswered second-half goals to extend their winning run to four matches moving up the table, overtaking Pompey in the process.
