The prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case may have committed “more sexual abuse and rapes” on the Algarve. German police have urged their Portuguese counterparts to probe a sex offence potentially linked to Christian Brueckner.
The chief prosecutor in the Maddie probe in Germany confirmed the move as he offered further details of a sex offence Brueckner is being linked to.
It was committed against a 10-year-old on an Algarve beach a month before the British child vanished.
