A diversion route is in place due to a closure on the M60 motorway on Saturday morning (January 25). The clockwise carriageway is shut to traffic between Junction 12 and Junction 13.
The road has been closed since shortly after 12.30am. Emergency services remain at the scene of the crash, which National Highways reports involves two cars.
A spokesperson said: "The M60 in Greater Manchester is closed clockwise between J12 (M602) and J13 (Worsley) due to a two car collision.
Emergency services including North West Motorway Police Group (NWMPG) are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management." The Manchester Evening News is providing live updates on this incident as they become available.
