Firefighters cut a casualty from a car after a horror crash in Moston. The emergency services were called to Blueberry Avenue just after 9.30pm today following a collision involving two cars.
The person injured, whose gender has not been confirmed, was taken to hospital. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said that specialist equipment had to be used to free the casualty.
A spokesperson said told the M.E.N. that firefighters remain at the scene tonight. The spokesperson said: “At just after 9.30pm today (Saturday 8 February), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Blueberry Avenue in Manchester.
Two fire engines from Hollins and Phillips Park fire stations and the technical response unit from Leigh quickly attended the incident which involved two vehicles. “Crews used specialist equipment to extricate one person from a vehicle before being conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
