With a mass fight following in the pits that the racer’s dad even got involved in at the 25-lap KZ Final in Lonato, Italy, it saw calls emerge for the youngster to be banned.And the FIA have decided to hand a 15-year ban to Corberi following a tribunal on the incident.The panel ruled that the 1.3kg bumper which the 23-year-old threw at Ippoliti could have caused serious neck injuries.While the pit altercations that followed the incident “reached a point where fathers and sons were hitting each other”.
The racer, who was racing on a track that his family owned, had already announced his retirement from the sport a day after the incident.
