Harry Styles‘ new film My Policeman, following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and they are decidedly mixed.The Amazon Prime Video movie follows a policeman named Tom (Styles) who enters a love triangle with museum curator Patrick (David Dawson) and wife, schoolteacher Marion (Emma Corrin), in 1950s England. My Policeman also follows the three in the 1990s, played by Linus Roache, Rupert Everett and Gina McKee.In a positive review, Deadline praised Styles’ performance, saying that “between Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman, Styles is quickly proving to be the real deal as an actor, and he is very convincing here as a man lost in deception with his wife.” The review added that while it is a “handsome-looking production”, it “doesn’t quite reach its full potential”.“All six actors give singular performances (perhaps to the detriment of character consistency), but My Policeman is finely made, craft-wise,” TheWrap said.“For relative acting newcomer Styles, the guileless and appealing young Tom is an ideal role, his sweet and vacant beauty offering a blank slate onto which Marion and Patrick can project whatever they want,” it adds.

Before the screening, Styles talked at a press conference where he detailed how he took on the role of Tom, a closeted gay policeman. Set in the 1950s, Styles plays opposite Emma Corrin (Marion), his wife who is a teacher and David Dawson (Patrick), a museum curator who Tom is dating behind closed doors. “I think he’s very curious,” Styles said of his character Tom.

It took nearly 15 years, but Disney is finally delivering on the sequel to its hit live-action/animated musical Enchanted (2007).And on Friday, Disney released the official trailer for the aptly titled film Disenchanted, which features original stars Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel and James Marsden.The new additions include the likes of Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma May. Disney has shared a first look at its upcoming new animated sci-fi series Iwájú at the D23 Expo in California.The event is taking place this weekend (September 9-11) at the Anaheim Convention Center and unveiling many new films and TV series from the studio.Among them was Iwájú, which was created by Ziki Nelson. The comic-style series will be set in Lagos and will explore class, innocence and challenging the status quo.During D23, Disney unveiled the first-look image from the show and announced that it will arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

Pixar has confirmed that Inside Out 2 is in the works and unveiled a new sci-fi-themed movie called Elio at Disney’s D23 Expo.The event is currently taking place in Anaheim, California, where many new films and highly anticipated sequels are being revealed today (September 9).Parks And Recreation’s Amy Poehler, who played Joy in 2015’s Inside Out, made an appearance at the event to share the news. Kesley Mann will direct the new film, while Meg LeFauve will write the script and Mark Nielsen will produce.According to Poehler, Inside Out 2 will be set in Riley’s – who is now a teenager – head, where she experiences brand new emotions.
