Good Morning Britain 's Piers Morgan launched into a furious rant on Tuesday after social media users have been trolling Sir Captain Tom Moore, who is in hospital with coronavirus.
Piers and co-host Susanna Reid condemned the abuse as Piers said it made him just as furious as racist abuse aimed at footballer and campaigner Marcus Rashford.
Captain Sir Tom is in hospital after struggling to breathe, but has faced criticism for a Barbados holiday he took in December.
Piers raged: "If your first thought when hearing Captain Sir Tom Moore is in hospital, fighting coronavirus, aged 100, knowing how dangerous that situation is, if your first thought is to troll him and his family, on Twitter." Susanna said: "You should take a look at yourselves."
