Liverpool are set to make even more money from Philippe Coutinho now that Barcelona's plan for the Brazilian has emerged. The Reds sold Coutinho to Barcelona back in 2018, receiving £106million up front and the promise of a further £36m in add-ons.
The £36m was to be paid in installments every time Coutinho reached a milestone at Barca, like making 25 appearances or helping the club qualify for the Champions League.
Liverpool have already received the vast majority of this transfer fee, but are still owed a further £4.4m from Barcelona. Coutinho is just 15 Barca appearances away from triggering the final bonus, but up until now it wasn't clear if he ever would.
