Virgil van Dijk has named Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero as the toughest player he's ever had to mark. The Liverpool defender answered questions from fans on his official Twitter page during the break from Premier League action and was asked who his toughest opponent was.
Van Dijk picked out Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi as the toughest opponent he has ever faced after the Argentine ran riot at the Nou Camp in last season's Champions League tie before Liverpool overturned the aggregate score at Anfield.
When asked who the toughest player he's ever marked, the Dutch international picked out Aguero. The Argentine has famously never scored at Anfield but has a knack of netting against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
