Liverpool could use the current break to try and convince Rennes to part ways with teenage star Eduardo Camavinga this summer.
The 17-year-old has been linked to a host of clubs in Europe having established himself as a first team regular in Ligue 1 this season.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Camavinga, who plays as a box to box midfielder, had been a target for La Liga leaders Barcelona.
However, the Catalan giants have now distanced themselves from a move, with the prospect set to cost €50m (£44m). The update comes after Sport claimed that the Reds have already spoken to Rennes over a potential deal, as have Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid.
