Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Wolves ace Diogo Jota. The Reds have moved swiftly in the pursuit of Portugal forward and there is growing confidence a deal will be completed.Liverpool were interested in Watford's Ismaila Sarr but the £40m price tag the Hornets slapped on the Senegal star appears to have put them off.Jota, 23, is now their number one priority after they completed the signing of Thiago Alcantara earlier on Friday.The Wolves forward was left out of their squad for Thursday's Carabao Cup clash with Stoke which sparked doubts over his future there.
Benfica were also keen on Jota but the player wants to remain in the Premier League and is focused on joining the champions.
