The homemade bomb that detonated outside Liverpool Women's Hospital 'would have caused significant injury or death' in different circumstances, police have said.
Assistant Chief Constable Russ Jackson, Head of Counter Terrorism Police North West, issued an update on the explosion today and said 'significant progress' is being made.
He said the bomb made by Emad Al-Swealmeen had ball bearings attached to it which would have acted as shrapnel.
