The whistleblower whose tape recordings exposed former US President Bill Clinton's sex scandal has died, according to reports.
Linda Tripp, who recorded conversations between the president and Monica Lewinsky, has died from cancer at age 70, her close friend told the Mail Online.
The former civil servant had reportedly been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer less than a week ago. Ms Lewinsky earlier today tweeted her well-wishes as reports emerged she was on her death bed.
She wrote on Twitter: "No matter the past, upon hearing that Linda Tripp is very seriously ill, I hope for her recovery. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for her family." The women had been close while both worked in the White House, in the the Pentagon's public
