The Clinton-Lewinsky liaison was the most salacious scandal of the 90s. Not only did it rock the United States but people around the world were glued to the saga as it unfolded and ultimately led to the downfall of the President.
Other than the two key players – Monica and Bill – there was another woman at the centre of the controversy and that was Linda Tripp.
This move made her one of the most famous whistleblowers in American history and it has been announced that she has died aged 70.
Linda was a former US civil servant whose secretly taped telephone conversations with White House intern Monica Lewinsky that led to then-president Bill Clinton’s 1998 impeachment.
