Lil Wayne has entered a guilty plea in his federal weapons case. The 38-year-old rapper appeared in a virtual court hearing on Friday (December 11) in Miami, Fla.

The charge came from a December 2019 incident where federal agents searched Wayne‘s plane at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, where he was a passenger on that plane, which made a stop in Florida on its way to California.
Upon the search, federal agents discovered the .45-caliber handgun in Wayne’s luggage. As a convicted felon, Wayne was not supposed to be in possession of a weapon. Wayne was convicted of a felony gun charge in New York back in 2009.
