Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Leeds United lift Championship trophy after final game before Premier League return

Leeds United celebrated being crowned champions at Elland Road on Wednesday following their 4-0 win over Charlton. The Championship winners lifted the trophy which secured their return to the top flight of English football after a 16-year hiatus that included three seasons in League One.

Marcelo Bielsa and his players brushed off the challenge of West Brom and Fulham to claim promotion thanks to the Baggies loss to Huddersfield Town last week, and were secured of first the following day thanks to Stoke's defeat of Brentford.

Supporters are set to return in their numbers when the 2020/21 Premier League season begins later this year, with Boris Johnson revealing that spectators might be permitted as early as October.
