Leeds star Patrick Bamford's injury felt like he was "stepping on plug sockets"

Leeds United star was forced off during their sensational 3-2 comeback win over Wolves.Starring for the Yorkshire side in the top-flight last season, Bamford, 28, has missed the bulk of the current campaign with ankle and hamstring problems.

The Leeds forward has started just seven matches in the league and now looks set for another spell on the side-lines after sustaining an injury to his foot at Molineux.

The England international lasted just 23 minutes in the Black Country and was visibly in tears when substituted from the field.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Bamford has expressed that the pain from walking was like "stepping on plug sockets" when rupturing his plantar fascia - an injury that has plagued him for almost 12 months. "Imagine standing on a plug socket with every step - that’s what it feels like.
