However the two areas with the highest rates have seen a fall. The infection rate, the total seven-day cases per 100,000 of population, has risen in Trafford, Stockport, Tameside, Wigan and Bolton. READ MORE: Bolton, Wigan and Trafford saw the biggest rises, of 18, 14 and 12 percent respectively.
Salford and Manchester both saw marginal decreases, of six percent and one percent respectively. Salford continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester.
