Jim Goodwin over the summer was to fill the considerable gap between the sticks vacated by former star performer Vaclav Hladky.
Once again former Newcastle keeper Jak Alnwick appears to be doing just that after yet another stunning showing. His fantastic reflexes somehow saw the scoreline kept to just 1-0 when it could quite comfortably have been three of four for St Johnstone.
His heroics are reminiscent of the Czech keeper, now plying his trade with Salford City, and if Alnwick keeps these performances up he’ll be a fans’ favourite just like his predecessor.
Another superb summer addition, ex- Motherwell man Richard Tait put in yet another composed and quality performance in the stripes.
