dailystar.co.ukKerry Katona has apologised after fans called her April Fools' Day pregnancy prank "disgusting".The star found herself facing a barrage of criticism after she posted a fake scan image on Instagram on April 1 and pretended to be pregnant.However, she has since taken the image down and said she didn't mean to upset people and feels "sick" that anyone would think she set out to cause offence."So here's me thinking I was posting the most unoriginal April Fools' joke by telling my other half he'd unintentionally knocked me up was the norm on the 1st April," she wrote on her Instagram Story."Lesson learnt!!!"Absolutely no malice and most certainly no intent to upset anyone!"I honestly feel sick to my core that anyone would think I would intentionally go out of my way to upset another human being!"Last time I do April Fool!" added the former Atomic Kitten, who is set to tie the knot with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney.Fans had said the mum-of-five's post missed the mark given how sensitive a topic pregnancy can be.One posted on Instagram: "Pregnancy tests, pregnancy scans are no joke.""Kerry Katona faking pregnancy for April Fools' then deleting it is just f****** weird," said another."Very insensitive of you to put up a fake scan," one fan said.One of Kerry's followers said the star should be "ashamed", adding: "Disgusting."Others said it just wasn't funny.A spokesperson has been quoted as saying that Kerry actually intended the joke for her fiancé Ryan, but that she accidentally uploaded it to her public Instagram account, and not the private one that she reserves for those close to her.Daily Star has contacted a representative for Kerry for comment.
