Kemar Roofe says he has "accept the punishment" after receiving a two-match ban for a tackle in the match against St Johnstone despite an appeal.The English striker was pulled up by the three-person disciplinary panel after a challenge on Murray Davidson last week.Referee David Munro handed out a yellow card to the attacker at the time, but that prompted further action from the governing body.After Roofe was offered the ban, Rangers opted to fight the charge but their arguments were dismissed at the disciplinary hearing.
This now means the Englishman will be sidelined for this Saturday’s Premiership visit from Kilmarnock as well as an Ibrox showdown with Dundee United a week on Sunday.
