Long before becoming the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate’s relationship with Prince William hit quite the rocky patch in 2006 after he cancelled plans with her over the holidays.
The Duke of Cambridge had organised to be with the Royal family on Christmas in Sandringham and then head over to Kate to be with her on New Years Eve.
In the book The Making of a Royal Romance, it is revealed however that Kate was left upset and concerned about her future with Prince William after he turned his back on their holiday plans together.
