Derek Draper, 53, is the 'sickest person the team of doctors have treated that has lived,' Kate has said in a new ITV documentary.
The former Labour lobbyist has suffered kidney failure, liver and pancreatic damage, has holes in his lungs from pneumonia and has lost 8 stone following his battle with coronavirus which saw him placed into an induced coma last March.
He remains in a prolonged disorder of consciousness and will be seen communicating with his wife of 16 years in Finding Derek, Kate's ITV documentary which airs at 9pm tonight.
