Larry Hoover has been in prison since 1973. While he’s been serving a sentence that would keep him in prison for the rest of his life, the gang leader has gained a few famous people trying to get him released. Rappers Kanye West, 44, and Drake, 35, ended their long-standing beef to stage a benefit concert for Larry in Los Angeles on December 9. Ye shared a photo announcing the concert on Saturday November 20. While it’s impressive that Larry seemed to be part of why Yeezy and Drizzy ended their years-long feud, there’s much more to know about Larry Hoover and his sentence.

After seemingly putting an end to their feud, Kanye West and Drake are teaming up for a benefit concert to get Chicago gang leader Larry Hoover out of prison.  West announced on Instagram Saturday that he and Drake will be doing a joint performance at a benefit concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Dec. 9 to advocate for clemency for Hoover.  West’s post was captioned,"God’s Plan," which is a nod to Drake's 2018 track.  West is listed as the headliner of the show while Drake is a special guest at the event.They will presumably take the stage together for the first time after being at odds.  Drake and Kanye West are teaming up for a benefit concert.

It would appear that Drake and Kanye West have called a ceasefire in their ongoing war of words. West, or Ye as he is now legally known, shared a picture of himself with Drake and J Prince on Tuesday night.
