Jurgen Klopp has refuted suggestions that Thiago Alcantara's imminent arrival at Liverpool will mean that Gini Wijnaldum has to leave.
Reds midfielder Wijnaldum has just one year left on his Anfield deal, and has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona this summer.
The Catalans now have Wijnaldum's former Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman in charge, and the ex-Southampton and Everton manager is said to have made the 29-year-old one of his top targets this summer.
Wijnaldum is also said to have been interested in the move, but having held talks with Klopp before last week's Premier League opener against Leeds United at Anfield, he also stated that he would be happy to stay with the champions this season.
