Xherdan Shaqiri looks set to stay at Liverpool with the club unable to find a buyer for the fringe player before the end of the transfer window.
The 28-year-old has barely featured under Jurgen Klopp in recent times, and has been left out of the last two squads altogether amid interest from the likes of Roma and Lazio.
But Liverpool have always maintained they would only sell the player permanently rather than allow him to leave on loan, and have not found a club willing to stump up the cash.
And according to the unless a suitable offer comes in at the very last minute before Monday evening's deadline Shaqiri will remain at Anfield until at least January.
