A Quiet Place Part III is officially in the works.The actor and filmmaker, who directed the first two films, announced during Paramount’s investor day yesterday (February 15) that a third film is currently eyeing a 2025 release, according to the Hollywood Reporter.The first film, Krasinski’s feature debut as a writer-director, was released in 2018 and launched a franchise which will now see a spinoff project helmed by Pig director Michael Sarnoski reach screens in 2023.A single-player horror game based on the idea of the first film is also due for release this year, courtesy of  iLLOGIKA, a studio based in Montreal comprised of developers with credits on Ubisoft titles Rainbow Six and Far Cry. The game is set to be published by Saber Interactive later this year.No director or writer has been announced yet for A Quiet Place Part III.

Jupiter’s Legacy creator Mark Millar has recalled meeting Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher, who majorly inspired his comic book series.The writer told Metro that Fisher’s 2008 autobiography Wishful Drinking inspired Jupiter character Chloe Sampson, the daughter of heroes The Utopian and Lady Liberty.“Carrie Fisher rooted it for me, because I came up with this idea in 2008 and started writing it in 2011,” Millar said. “The financial crash was my big inspiration.

In a day and age where superhero storytelling is constantly pushing the boundaries and blurring the lines of television and films via Marvels Studios and shows like The Boys or The Umbrella Academy, Jupiter’s Legacy is decidedly old-hat. It may have gotten a pass five to ten years ago, but today it just feels like a step in the wrong direction.

Following Deadline’s exclusive report this morning that Mark Millar’s The Magic Order is back on course as a Netflix series, the Jupiter’s Legacy creator has now announced a plethora of new projects and updates.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterThe series adaptation of Mark Millar’s “The Magic Order” is back in development at Netflix, with Millar also announcing a new slate of projects at the streamer.In a blog post on Thursday, Millar shared that “The Magic Order” is back on track after the streamer opted last year not to move forward with the iteration that had been in the works.“Some time away has given us a chance to come back with a completely fresh look at the material, and we should be getting into our new writers’ room very shortly,” he wrote. “The Magic Order” was in early pre-production when it was announced in October 2020 that it would not proceed as planned.

EXCLUSIVE: “What’s wonderful about TV shows, we can go so deep and flesh out so much more with meat on the backbone,” exclaims Mark Millar of the adaption of his Jupiter’s Legacy comics to a Netflix series. “You know, characters can have a few pages that can take up an hour’s television time and I love that,” the executive producer adds. “I love the fact we were able to make something so crazy.”
