Former Aston Villa and Celtic manager Jozef Venglos has died, aged 84. The Slovak was the first foreign boss to manage in the English top flight when he joined Villa in 1990.
He lasted just one season in the Midlands with Villa finishing just two places above the relegation zone. Venglos would return to the UK with Celtic in 1998, but - despite some excellent form over the course of the season - the Hoops were beaten to the title and Scottish Cup by Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Rangers also won the Scottish League Cup, completing the domestic treble. Celtic failed to qualify for the Champions League and Venglos took up a new position as technical adviser and scout at Parkhead.
