Jonathan Ross's late mother was actually an EastEnders actress. It’s a little known fact that Rossy’s mum, Martha Ross, appeared in Albert Square from the show’s inception in 1985 all the way until 2006 where she played a market stallholder.
Martha, who passed away in 2019 aged 79, was also an actress in Grange Hill, The Sean Hughes Show and Barrymore, as well as being a radio presenter.
She also presented a current affairs show on Liberty Radio.Jonathan's beloved Martha did not have her ‘Enders contract continued though after she gave away a Christmas storyline by telling her other son, Paul, which he then blabbed on his own LBC show.
