Johnny Depp has been accused of having a terrifying monster alter-ego. The Pirates of the Caribbean star admitted to using cocaine, during a time he refers to as his "Peruvian period".

And he said that his ex-wife Amber Heard has used his drug use as an excuse to label him a "monster". The allegations came out today at London's High Court, on the second day of Depp's libel trial against The Sun.

He is suing the newspaper after he was labelled a "wife beater", accusations he has branded "sick and completely untrue". His former drug use was brought up by the Sun's QC as they referred to a text message in which he refers to his "Peruvian period" and how Miss Heard "didn't like the monster it made him".
