Johnny Depp says Amber Heard ‘haymakered him’ as he accuses her of ’roundhouse punching’ him during row

Johnny Depp has accused ex-wife Amber Heard of hitting him with a ’roundhouse punch’ during a row four years ago. The actor, 57, is currently in the middle of a high court libel case against The Sun’s publisher News Group Newspapers (NGN).

Depp is suing NGN over an April 2018 column by The Sun’s executive editor Dan Wootton, which referred to him as a ‘wife beater’.He had been giving evidence over the last five days during the court case and taking to the witness box on Monday, Depp accused Heard of attacking him during a row on her birthday in April 2016.

He was asked about a ‘secret recording’ of the couple that was taken – reportedly without his knowing – several months later in July 2016 in a hotel room in San Francisco.
