John Roger Stephens (born December 28, 1978), known professionally as John Legend, is an American singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and philanthropist. Prior to the release of Legend's debut album, Get Lifted, (2004) he had collaborated with already established artists and signed to Kanye West's GOOD Music. Legend has sung on Jay-Z's "Encore", Alicia Keys's "You Don't Know My Name", Dilated Peoples' "This Way", Slum Village's "Selfish", Fort Minor's "High Road", and played piano on Lauryn Hill's "Everything Is Everything". Legend's single "All of Me" from his fourth studio album Love in the Future (2013) was a Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit.

John Legend, Tinashe, More Transform Into Avatars for Wave Livestream Concerts

By Variety Staff Follow Us on Twitter Wave, a company that specializes in interactive virtual entertainment experiences, announced “One Wave,” a series of virtual concerts with John Legend and others that will see the artists transforming “into their own digital avatar, allowing them to perform live in an immersive and fantastical virtual world,” according to the statement.

Past Wave artists, including Tinashe, Galantis, Jauz and Lindsey Stirling will also return to the platform this Spring. The company also announced that it has forged partnerships with Warner Music Group and Roc Nation, and is working with “several” unspecified music labels, management companies and independent artists about future performances.
