John Cena to Star in 'Suicide Squad' Spinoff Series for HBO Max

The 43-year-old actor’s Suicide Squad character Peacemaker will be getting his own spinoff series on the new streaming service, Deadline reports. It is also being reported that The Suicide Squad director James Gunn will be writing all of the episodes and directing a number of them. John‘s character will be introduced in the upcoming The Suicide Squad, which will be released on August 6, 2021.
