Former Emmerdale star Joe Gill, famed for his role as the much-loved Finn Barton on the ITV soap, is almost unrecognisable seven years on from his dramatic departure from the show.

Kasim Sabet might only have made a brief appearance in the Dales, but he certainly made an impression on those who live there. Kasim, played by Ethan Kai, arrived in Emmerdale back in 2016, after a devastating car crash on the Hotten Bypass that nearly killed him. For a while it looked as though he might not survive, but he pulled through, only to find himself in a relationship with the taxi operator, Finn (played by Joe Gill).

Since leaving Emmerdale five years ago, former soap star Joe Gill has had a dramatic transformation away from the Yorkshire Dales. The 28 year old, who was known for his role as Finn Barton, appeared on our screens between 2013 and 2017 before his character was tragically killed off. After accidentally being shot by his on-screen mother Emma Barton, viewers saw Joe’s character Finn get rushed to hospital where he shortly died from his injuries.
