THIEVES stole more than £8,000 of jewellery from actress Jodie Turner-Smith’s hotel room. The Anne Boleyn star, 34, may have been targeted after she was seen wearing precious gems at Cannes the night before, it is thought.

She was at breakfast in the five-star Marriott Hotel on Friday morning when burglars plundered her room. They stole jewellery worth more than £8,000, including her mother’s wedding ring, sources have claimed.

The Peterborough-born star had been at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of her new film, After Yang. She later tweeted: “I didn’t think I would be spending 2.5 hours in the police station on my final day in Cannes, but here we are.” Last night, speculation was rife she was targeted after wearing stones from.
