Jamie Lang Onza Distribution has closed three new deals for the Italian thriller series “Flowers Over the Inferno,” an Italian crime drama that scored a 25% audience share during its domestic run on RAI 1.

Public broadcaster SBS Australia, Walter Presents in the U.K., and Antenaplay in Romania have picked up the show. According to Onza, other offers are being considered in major European markets, with some now in the advanced stages of negotiations.

Based on the four-novel series from author Ilaria Tuti, its first season adapts the first book and follows profiler Teresa Battaglia as she attempts to track a serial vigilante who kills in defense of helpless children.

Battaglia’s focus is split, however, as she must deal with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. “Flowers Over the Inferno” is produced by Publispei, one of Italy’s oldest indie labels, which produced long-running series such as “Un Medico in Famiglia” and “I Cesaroni.” When season one debuted on RAI 1 in Italy, it recorded a 25.49% audience share and maintained a 24.96% share during its initial run.
