Jim Goodwin is determined to make trips to Hampden Park more of a regular occurrence for his beloved Buddies. The Saints manager famously lifted the League Cup trophy in 2013 at Scotland’s national stadium and led the Paisley club to the semi-finals of the same competition as manager this season.
The St Mirren boss is now desperate to repeat the performance by reaching the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup. They just need to battle past Kilmarnock at Rugby Park this evening, with Goodwin’s side last reaching that stage in 2009.
