Jet2 has cancelled all flights and holidays to the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands. The tour operator made the decision after the Foreign Office advised against all non-essential travel to the islands earlier this evening.
Previously the travel ban only related to mainland Spain which had led to Jet2 axing all holidays there until August 17. All travellers returning from Spain to the UK must now quarantine for 14 days.
Customers are advised not to travel to the airport tomorrow if they were due to fly to any part of Spain.
