Jesse Lingard has attributed Jadon Sancho's slow start to life at Manchester United to him adapting to the rigours of Premier League football and has still backed him to succeed at Old Trafford.
After failing in three previous attempts, United finally managed to sign Sancho in the summer in a £72million move from Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old left neighbours Manchester City for the Bundesliga as a teenager in 2017 and there he grew into one of the world's best attackers, scoring 50 goals and contributing 64 assists in his 137 games in Germany.
But he has been unable to find that rich vein of form since returning to Manchester and has no goal contributions in his nine appearances so far.
