Judge Judy announcer Jerry Bishop has died aged 84, following a battle with heart disease. The TV personality died on Tuesday, with a decades-long career to his name.
According to People, Judge Judy’s publicist Gary Rosen confirmed his death in a statement to the publication. Bishop is best remembered as the announcer on Judge Judy, narrating the legal figure's entrance and exit in the courtroom.
Celebrity judge Judy Sheindlin, 77, paid tribute to Bishop over social media, expressing her sorrow over his passing. She said: ”Jerry Bishop has been the voice of our program for 24 years.
Everybody loved him. “He had a golden heart and generous spirit.” She added: “I adored him and will miss him." Bishop remained the announcer on the show
