mirror.co.ukStar of Aliens Jay Benedict has died at the age of 68 after contracting coronavirus. The actor, who played Russ Jordan in Aliens and starred in The Dark Knight Rises, picked up the infection and passed away, his official website confirmed.
In a statement, his management team wrote: "It is with profound sorrow that we must announce Jay's death on the 4th of April due to complications arising from a COVID-19 infection." Jay had recently appeared in Call The Midwife and Downton Abbey, as well as Dickensian and Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands.
