JASON Derulo is hoping to make a mint by going it alone after ditching his record label. The superstar has become the world’s biggest unsigned artist after deciding not to commit to a new deal, having split from Warner Records earlier this year after more than a decade.

Despite the star being capable of commanding an eight-figure agreement, I have learned that Jason is now a free agent and is ploughing his own money into new music — and hoping to reap big rewards.

His decision is already proving fruitful, as he and New Zealand-born producer Jawsh 685 are at No1 in the singles chart this week with their tune Savage Love.
